Quietly sitting just off the A407 rests the village of Sandford-on-Thames, a quiet village and the A407 bypasses the village but the nearby Oxford Science Park does certainly bring traffic and is less quiet in the morning and during the evening rush hour.
The River Thames can be accessed by Church Road, Sandford Lock can be reached by the footbridge which is opposite the carpark of the Kings Arms public house.
The Kings Arms in Sandford-on-Thames is a traditional pub/ restaurant with al fresco dining during the summer months. The building has retained many of its original features such as three old open fireplaces but only one is still in working order. Tables are well set with candles but it is also well lit but remains a cosy atmosphere with light music in the background.
