Situated approximately five miles outside of Oxford Garsinton is a village well known for its flamboyant social life.
Up until 2010 Garsinton Manor housed the Garsington opera, the manor was built in the 16th century and was remodelled in the 17th and is a grade 2 listed building.
There is also another grade 2 Manor house at the south end part of the village that was built in the 17th century.
There is a public house in Garsington (The Three Horse Shoes www.threehorseshoesgarsington.com) and they offer a range of real ales and craft lagers that you can enjoy with a selection of home made food. During the winter its especially cosy with the log fire roaring in the bar.
Other amenities available in Garsington consists of a village shop, hairdressers, a garden centre, dog kennels and a cattery.
In Denton lane the Garsington Sports & Social Club can be found and has two adult and two youth football teams. The club also has a cricket and darts team.
The village hall has a large function room, adjoining committee room/ reception room, a well-equipped kitchen, presentation equipment and up to date disabled facilities.
For bigger shopping trips you need not travel to far, Templars Shopping Centre is just 0.4 miles away and houses lots of well known stores, estate agents, restaurants and a gym.
