Woodperry’s postcode is within the Forest Hill and Holton ward which is a constituency of Henley. Unmistakably Woodperry is a small village south of Oxford and probably best known for Woodperry House.
Woodperry House is a Grade 1 listed building in Stanton St John and was built from 1728 for a London Goldsmith and partner in Child & co. John Morse, John Morse once owned a house in Woostock, this was near the entrance of Blenheim Palace and naturally the influence of the design came from there. Although an extravagant house John Morse never actually lived in the house, instead he brought a larger house in Buckinghamshire called Wooburn House.
Woodperry still has an interesting history and much about this listed building can be found and provide some interesting reading on the internet. If you were to visit Woodperry there is a very nice cottage for holiday rentals available, it has three bedrooms, 1 bathroom and sleeps 6.
The cottage is in a good location and not far from a Golf course, Oxford its self with its many bars, clubs, pubs and restaurants and not forgetting its historical buildings.
